Topic: Business Cultural Compass – Mission
The objective of this micro-series is to empower founders, leaders, startups, and organizations with the tools and resources to create a sustainable foundation to their business culture. The purpose of your Cultural Compass is to stimulate visualizing and setting your direction and organizational strategy. Most root causes of toxic cultures come from misalignments within the organization. We’ve all heard of the traditional iceberg model – basically, this highlights the fact that what we see on the surface may not tell the entire story. Here, we will spend time diving into the deeper layers of our cultures and design the next layer of our cultural foundation, your mission.
Zech’s passion for culture and its use as a powerful tool comes from his own personal purpose to bring, align and harmonize people together to drive greater collective impact. Zech is a visionary thinker with an MBA in Organizational Design. He has studied culture, organizational effectiveness and design, and systems change through his MBA, certifications from Bersin Academy and u.lab: Leading From the Emerging Future. He continues his development by diving into studies, education, certifications, and books including a few favorites – Reinventing Organizations, Designing Regenerative Cultures, System Thinking for Social Change, Maps of Meaning, The Art of Gathering, Firms of Endearment, Start With Why, and many more. He is passionate about facing organizational and societal challenges of today and redefining how companies utilize culture to sustain and grow over the long term.
