Seeds for Growth Highlights

Over 100 small business owners came to Schlitz Park in Milwaukee on Tuesday, September 16th for the Small Business “Seeds for Growth” event sponsored by Huntington Bank and presented by WWBIC. Attendees had several opportunities to receive valuable info and resources for their business, including:

  • An “Access to Capital” panel provided valuable tips on credit, loans and financing for small businesses
  • Speed coaching with over two dozen small business experts was offered
  • A resource fair showcasing a dozen community organizations offering small business resources was on hand
  • Five $500 grants were awarded to small business owners in attendance
  • Attendees received “Seeds Bucks” to shop for products from several WWBIC small business clients

WWBIC Hires Kathryn Dunn as President/CVO

The WWBIC Board of Directors is pleased to announce the appointment of Kathryn Dunn as the new WWBIC President/Chief Visionary Officer, effective May 1st. Dunn takes over the post previously held by Wendy K. Baumann, who stepped down as WWBIC President and Chief Visionary Officer after 31 years of service in February 2025. Ms. Dunn has served WWBIC as Vice President, Programs and Operations since 2024, and also served as WWBIC Vice President from 1993-1997.
