Joan Roehre has spent her professional life reinventing herself and passionately seeking creative outlets in everything she’s pursued. Following a nearly 30-year career as a Professional Development, Distance Learning and Emerging Technology Specialist, she became the Executive Director for the community engagement organization Visioning a Greater Racine in 2017.
When the pandemic hit, Joan eagerly returned to her virtual/online learning passion and joined the Project Optimize Team at WWBIC as the Statewide Online Learning Specialist. Joan’s time with WWBIC provided a foundation and quite possibly the courage to take a leap of faith and open her own business.
In March 2021, Joan opened “Social on Sixth” a micro venue in a historic, boutique location in downtown Racine. A lifetime of loving event planning, professional pollinating, collecting vintage dinnerware, supporting small business and the pure goal to always host the perfect party all came together.
