Administrative Assistant

Full-time | Milwaukee

This full time position is responsible for providing administrative support for Human Resources and WWBIC Leadership. 

The Administrative Assistant will assist with recruiting for new team members by posting/sharing job openings, scheduling interviews & checking references. They will assist with onboarding & welcoming new employees by gathering new hire paperwork, maintaining employee files and ensuring required documentation is in place. In addition, the Assistant will handle logistics for staff events and training, manage data entry in our HR systems, and provide backup for payroll processing. In addition, they will support the WWBIC President with correspondence, scheduling meetings, meeting logistics and material preparation, expense reports and travel arrangements.  

The position requires 3-5 years in an administrative position, a high school diploma, and solid Microsoft Office experience. An Associate degree is preferred. Strong verbal communication skills, organizational skills and a keen eye for detail are a must. Flexibility, a positive attitude and the ability to manage large volumes of work in a busy office is vital. Exposure to human resource policy & practices is strongly preferred.

Bilingual (English/Spanish) Loan Officer

Full-time | Milwaukee or Madison (Location Flexible)

This full-time position is responsible for producing approved, closed and disbursed business loans and for expansion of WWBIC’s micro lending programs with a focus on Hispanic, bilingual and Spanish-speaking clients. Core responsibilities include: identify, analyze, underwrite and close loan applications; develop and foster key relationships to ensure collaborative partnerships with area financial institutions and other sources for loan referrals; maintain a presence in the community to facilitate loan production; represent WWBIC at community and professional functions, conferences and meetings; and maintain ongoing loan client contact.

This position requires a genuine desire to work with business owners of diverse ethnic and socio-economic backgrounds. A Bachelor’s degree; at least 5 years solid work experience in commercial banking or underwriting; strong analytical and organization skills; the ability to multitask and meet deadlines; and strong communication skills and Spanish-language fluency are required. Must have valid drivers license and proof of insurance as position requires local travel. Experience in small business financing or community development lending is preferred.

Credit Analyst

Part Time, Limited Term | Location flexible

This part–time (28 hours/week) limited term position is responsible for producing approved loans and coordinating and expanding WWBIC’s small business and micro lending programs.

The Analyst will underwrite loan applications and present comprehensive loan packages with sound financial projections for approval. They will work closely with our clients during the loan intake and underwriting process to monitor progress, collect data & documentation and identify business assistance needs. The Analyst will take steps to remain current on trends in community capital  and microenterprise industries, while meeting set goals for their assigned area.

The position requires at least 2 years of experience in commercial banking, underwriting or accounting. Strong written and verbal communication skills & Microsoft Office skills are needed. A Bachelor’s degree along with familiarity with small business financing and loan servicing software is desired. Must be able to work with a diverse community and work occasional weekend or evenings. A valid drivers license and proof of insurance is required for local travel.

Hispanic Collaborative Online Marketplace Account Coordinator

Full-time  | Greater Madison, WI

The Online Marketplace Account Coordinator is a position based in Madison, WI that will be responsible for providing 1:1 assistance to Latino business owners in creating and managing their online shop operations on a new e-commerce marketplace. It will include: learning the functionalities of the marketplace e-commerce platform; onboarding businesses to the marketplace; delivering training to business owners; and directly assisting with management of the business owners’ shop items, inventory, and sales via both desktop and app dashboards. This position will require a high level of comfort with digital technology as well as 1:1 customer service. Communications (phone calls, texting, and email) with business owners must be timely, culturally competent, and consistent to provide high quality, high touch technical assistance for Latino business owners that may be new to selling on an online marketplace.

The Online Marketplace Account Coordinator position is an exempt salaried full-time position and is limited term for a period of one year. There is a possibility for an extended duration depending upon the growth of the marketplace.  Position has a matrixed reporting relationship with the Hispanic Collaborative and the Wisconsin Women’s Business Initiative Corporation (WWBIC).

Human Resource & Admnistrative Manager

Full-time  | Wisconsin – Location Flexible

This full-time leadership position is responsible for developing and implementing human resource programs, strategies, and initiatives for all WWBIC offices. In addition, they will coordinate administrative operation and communication processes that enhance organizational capabilities and effectiveness. Key responsibilities include managing the recruitment, selection, and onboarding process, completing payroll processing, managing all WWBIC benefits, and monitoring the WWBIC compensation structure for equity, fairness, and compliance. In addition, they will create an annual training calendar, plan & schedule training, and professional development opportunities, conduct workplace investigations, and maintain compliance with federal/state/local employment laws and regulations.

A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, along with 5 years human resource management experience is required. Prior payroll experience and knowledge of both state and federal employment laws and health/retirement/disability benefit programs required. Excellent verbal communication skills, organization skills, attention to detail, professionalism and ability to maintain confidentiality is necessary. A valid driver’s license and proof of insurance is required for local travel.
